The PFRPC welcome new members (walkers, recreational and speed demon competitive runners) year-round. Everyone is welcome to join the club.

Annual dues for individuals or a family are $25.00 for one year, $35 for two years. Membership includes all family members living in your household. Dues are renewable every January 1st. The Club offers club race discounts, social activities, races that are just-a-bit-quirky and we are proud to support the Mile 25 water station at the Chicago Marathon.  Don't forget--"pancake" is in our name and we offer -- Pancakes! year round as well.

Take part in our signature events:

January

The PFRPC is famous (infamous?) for our Midwinter Cruise 5K held in mid-January. The course is flat and fast, winding through the streets of our namesake, Park Forest, IL. Come take a cruise without leaving the Midwest! Every finisher gets a trophy, pancakes and a few suprises. The race is held at the Forest Trail Junior High School, 215 Wilson Street (Lakewood and Wilson)in Park Forest, IL.

September

The Turtle Ten Miler is held on Labor Day. Celebrate the holiday with a ten mile run followed by pancakes (of course!).

Club Fun Runs

Saturdays at 8AM (from the week after the Chicago Marathon weekend through the week before Daylight Savings Time begins) and at 7AM (beginning the weekend Daylight Savings Time begins through the week of the Chicago Marathon). Locations vary according to the whims of the membership!  Be sure to check the Home Page of this website for the latest news.

Sundays, always begining at 8AM from Schubert Woods on Chestnut Street in Park Forest.

Moon Runs

Run 3 to 4 miles by the light of the moon at various locations in the southwest suburbs, followed by dinner and socializing at a local restaurant. (While we try to be "moonies" all year long, weather dictates whether it's safe to be on the road. Moon Runs are always announced in advance).

Scholarship Awards

The Club raises funds for our annual scholarship awards program--open to any club member.
